We are honored to have the lead partner at our PBBA lunch where he will present urban ideas in ways you never thought imaginable. This is the guy everyone should listen to to better understand modern town planning.

SPEAKER BIO

For more than 25 years, urban designer Victor Dover, cofounder of Dover, Kohl & Partners Town Planning, has been designing plans for livable, walkable and sustainable communities in 22 states and across five continents.

Victor Dover serves as principal-in-charge for many of the firm's design and planning projects. He has led more than 150 charrettes. Victor lectures widely around the nation on the topics of livable communities and sustainable development, and was national chair of the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) from 2010 to 2012. He recently coauthored, with John Massengale, the bestselling book Street Design: The Secret to Great Cities and Towns (Wiley 2014). Victor has been awarded the John Nolen Medal for contributions to urbanism, and is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Miami.

He is the coauthor of Street Design: The Secret to Great Cities and Towns (Wiley, January 2014). His work spans five continents and ranges from revitalizing historic downtowns to retrofitting suburbia. His projects include Plan El Paso, hailed as “America’s Best Smart Growth Plan,” Glenwood Park in Atlanta, and, locally, the dramatic makeover of downtown South Miami.

Victor is a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners. Victor is a board member of Friends of the Ludlum Trail. He’s also a regular bike commuter, veteran marathoner and four-time Ironman triathlete.
