When people do background checks on you or your business what is the number one tool they use? Your credit score. Even when you get automobile insurance they will run it to figure out your rate. You want to buy or rent a house or a business —they look at your credit. It doesn’t seem fair that a number establishes so much of your identity. But it is the real world. Our speaker this month works with NFL players and many famous people —like us —to give ideas on making your credit score better. So come to learn how you can use it to your advantage!
SPEAKER BIO
Your credit score doesn’t define your value as a person, but it does heavily influence your financial opportunities. Chris Colston, the President of Second Chance Credit, Sports Credit, and Alexander Colston Creit Advisors has dedicated nearly two decades to educating people from all walks of life on how the credit system works, how to maximize their credit ratings, and how to leverage that credit to improve their financial situation for the betterment of their family and communities.
Chris is honored to serve as the credit advisor and educator for half of the teams in the NFL, including our own Miami Dolphins, as well as the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Chris also donates his time to educating the student athletes at the University of Miami and FIU about the pitfalls of credit mistakes and how a high income does not equate to a high credit score.
However, Chris’s primary business still comes from the realtors and mortgage brokers in the community who reach out to him to help young families, single mothers, and those with imperfect credit histories qualify for the purchase of a home. Most recently, Chris launched Alexander Colston Credit Advisors, a consultancy focused on helping successful professionals, business owners, and high net worth individuals to take their credit from good to great and from great to excellent so that they maximize the value and return of their investment holdings.
An active member of the community, he serves as a director on the board of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, and is the proud father of two amazing and accomplished children Jonathan and Elizabeth Colston.
