Manny Sid, Assistant Director for Strategic Procurement, Miami-Dade County
Manny Cid brings more than 22 years of experience in public service, economic development, strategic leadership, commercial real estate, and community engagement. He currently serves as Assistant Director for Strategic Procurement at Miami-Dade County, where he helps lead the Small & Local Business Development team, and the Real Estate & Asset Strategy Division. In this role, he advances Miami-Dade County’s Small & Local Business Comprehensive Plan, while supporting the County’s leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, and asset management of County property.
Manny’s private-sector experience includes nearly 12 years with a boutique commercial real estate firm in Miami-Dade County, where he worked on commercial leases, acquisitions, dispositions, and development agreements. The firm managed and leased approximately 4 million square feet of commercial space, giving Manny extensive experience navigating complex transactions, negotiating agreements, and working with property owners, tenants, developers, and other stakeholders.
Manny holds a Master of Science in Ethical Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from St. Thomas University, as well as an Associate of Arts in Political Science from Miami Dade College. His legislative experience includes seven years as a Legislative Aide in the Florida House of Representatives, where he contributed to significant statewide initiatives, including Florida’s carbon monoxide legislation and policy efforts supporting Florida International University’s recruitment of leading medical faculty.
At the local level, Manny served 12 years in elected office with the Town of Miami Lakes as Councilmember, Vice Mayor, and two-term Mayor. During his tenure, he championed the largest infrastructure investments in the Town’s history, helping guide long-term growth and strengthen the quality of life for residents.
Beyond public service, Manny is a partner in a family-owned diner in Miami-Dade County, reflecting his longstanding commitment to entrepreneurship and the local small business community. His combination of public-sector leadership, legislative experience, commercial real estate expertise, and business ownership gives him a distinctive perspective on building partnerships, developing effective strategies, and delivering results that strengthen government operations and the communities he serves.
